Wild Fowl Reserves

The wildfowl reserves at Rogerstown, on the north County Dublin coast between Donabate and Rush, protect a tidal estuary that is one of the more important bird sites on this stretch of coastline. Mudflats, saltmarsh and shallow water draw large numbers of waders and wildfowl, particularly in the winter months.

Access is quiet and low-key, and the estuary rewards patience with binoculars. Visitors should keep to paths and viewing points to avoid disturbing feeding and roosting birds.
