Ye Olde Hurdy-Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio

Ye Olde Hurdy-Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio occupies the Martello tower above Howth harbour in County Dublin, one of the squat coastal defence towers built along the Irish coast in the early nineteenth century.

Inside is a collection devoted to the history of radio and communications, taking in early wireless sets, gramophones, telegraph equipment and related paraphernalia. The tower itself is part of the appeal, with views over the harbour, Ireland’s Eye and Dublin Bay from its elevated position. A compact, characterful stop to pair with a walk around Howth.
