Adventure Legend is an outdoor activity operator based in Killeshandra, County Cavan, in the heart of Ireland’s Lakelands. Water-based activities are a particular focus, with kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding on the surrounding lakes and rivers. One popular route paddles out to Clough Oughter Castle, a 13th-century round tower that sits on a small island amid the lakes, where you can stop for a picnic before returning to shore. The wider programme extends beyond Cavan too, taking in pursuits such as surfing, hiking and camping at locations around the country.

Adventure Legend also runs longer packages, including a weekend that combines a trip to Clough Oughter Castle with paddleboarding, a sauna session and a traditional music session. The operator is family- and dog-friendly, offers free parking, and asks that all activities be booked in advance.
