An Siopa at The Mills

An Siopa at The Mills is a gift and food hall in Ballyvourney, County Cork, in the West Cork Gaeltacht of Múscraí. It sits across the courtyard from The Mills Inn, a hotel, pub and restaurant located on the N22 roughly halfway between Cork and Killarney, making it a convenient stop for anyone travelling between the two.

The shop brings together an eclectic mix of gifts and Irish produce under one roof. Alongside ladies’ fashion, jewellery, handbags, homeware, crystal and decorative pieces, it stocks a range of Irish food and drink, including products such as Folláin preserves, local cheeses and beers from the 9 White Deer Brewery, many of which also feature in the neighbouring restaurant. A curated selection of wine is available too.

A particular speciality is the range of hampers, which the shop assembles to order from its stock of local food and gifts, with options suited to weddings, engagements, christenings and other occasions. Visitors can also pick up fresh baked goods prepared daily in the kitchen of The Mills Inn, and during the spring and summer an ice cream parlour operates on site. Mail order and gift vouchers are offered for those who cannot call in person.
