Aquaventures

Aquaventures is a marine adventure and diving centre based at Baltimore, a harbour village in West Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way. Operating along one of the most rewarding stretches of Ireland’s southwest coast, it offers a range of sea-based experiences for both qualified divers and visitors simply looking to get out on the water.

Wildlife trips are a mainstay, with the chance to look out for whales, dolphins, seals and basking sharks in the waters off West Cork. Sunset tours to the Fastnet Rock, with its landmark lighthouse, are especially popular with photographers, and snorkelling trips are available for those who prefer to stay closer to the surface.

For divers, Aquaventures provides boat charter aboard rhib or hardboat, air fills, equipment servicing and a well-stocked shop, along with courses running from beginner level through to more advanced qualifications. The seas around Baltimore hold a variety of wrecks and dive sites suitable for different levels of experience, among them the U260 and the Kowloon Bridge.

The centre also offers bed and breakfast accommodation at The Stone House, adjacent to the dive centre, making it convenient to combine a stay with a day on the water. Trips depend on weather and sea conditions, so booking ahead is advised.
