Ballyhass Adventure Group - Mallow

Ballyhass Adventure Group runs one of Munster’s largest outdoor activity centres on a 36-acre site near Cecilstown, just outside Mallow in County Cork. The venue is set around a former limestone quarry, where two spring-water lakes cover roughly 14 acres of clear water. The mix of open water, natural rock faces and landscaped grounds gives the centre space for land, water and height-based activities in one location.

Water sports are a particular focus. Ballyhass is home to the Ballyhass Wakepark, a wakeboarding cable park with straight-line systems and a range of obstacles, alongside kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. An inflatable aquapark on the lake adds floating slides, climbing walls, balance beams and trampolines for larger groups. On dry land and up on the quarry walls, visitors can try rock climbing and abseiling on the limestone faces, high and low ropes courses, zip-lining, archery, raft building and team-building challenges, with qualified instructors on hand.

The centre caters to families, groups and individuals, and runs summer camps for children as well as evening sessions and courses for adults. Ballyhass also operates a second site at Coachford, elsewhere in County Cork.
