Barley Cove

Barley Cove is a beach on the coast of west County Cork, near the Mizen Head peninsula in Ireland’s south-west. Known for its sweeping sands and dunes, it is a popular spot for swimming, walking and simply enjoying the Atlantic scenery in one of the county’s most remote and beautiful corners.

Backed by dunes and reached across the surrounding landscape, the cove offers a fine stretch of shoreline for a day by the sea. Its setting near the tip of the peninsula makes it a scenic destination along the Wild Atlantic Way.
