Cavan Adventure Centre

Cavan Adventure Centre is an outdoor activity centre set among the lakes and waterways just outside Cavan Town, in the townland of Inishmore near Butlersbridge, County Cavan. It sits within the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, part of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, where the Lough Oughter system of interconnected lakes forms one of the country’s most distinctive watery landscapes.

Established in 2008, the centre runs a mix of land and water based activities suitable for a range of ages and abilities. On the water, visitors can try kayaking, canoeing and guided boat trips, with paddling routes that lead out across Lough Oughter towards the ruins of Clough Oughter Castle. On land, options include cycling on local trails alongside archery, orienteering and other group activities. The centre caters for individuals and families as well as school tours, summer camps and team building groups, with equipment hire available.
