Charm Bee

Charm Bee is a family-run pottery painting studio and café in the village of Labasheeda, County Clare, set along the Shannon Estuary Way. It brings together a hands-on creative space and a relaxed spot for coffee and a bite, making it an easy stop for families, groups and anyone travelling this stretch of the west Clare coast.

In the studio you can choose a precast ceramic piece from a range of ornaments and kitchenware, then decorate it yourself using paints, stencils or sponges. Finished work is fired in the on-site kiln so you leave with a keepsake of your own design. Charm Bee also creates lasting mementoes from imprints, including baby and pet prints set in ceramic or handcrafted silver jewellery and charms. Pottery painting is available on a drop-in basis, though booking ahead is recommended.

The café is open to everyone, whether or not you are painting, and looks out over the Shannon Estuary. Alongside barista coffee it serves homemade treats, paninis and toasties. The venue welcomes children’s parties, school and adult groups, and corporate outings, and offers free parking on site.
