Profile
Ciúin Spa is the dedicated wellness centre at the Slieve Russell Hotel, a resort set in extensive grounds at Ballyconnell in County Cavan, within the region marketed as Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and around two hours’ drive from Dublin (roughly 90 miles via the N3/N87). The spa’s name comes from the Irish word “ciúin”, meaning calm or quiet, and the focus throughout is on relaxation and unwinding.
At the heart of the spa is a thermal and hydrotherapy suite offering a range of heat experiences. Facilities include a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, salt grotto, ice fountain, foot spas, lifestyle and adventure showers, and heated relaxation loungers. Guests staying at the hotel also have access to the leisure club’s swimming pool and further leisure facilities.
Treatments are delivered in individual treatment rooms and make use of the GAIA skincare range, with a menu that covers massages, facials, hot stone treatments, holistic rituals and other therapies, alongside manicure and pedicure services.
The spa is open through the week, with details of hours, treatment bookings and pricing available directly from the Slieve Russell Hotel. It suits both hotel guests and visitors looking for a spa day or wellness break in the Cavan lakelands.
