Dursey Sound

Dursey Sound is the narrow, fast-flowing channel of water separating Dursey Island from the tip of the Beara Peninsula in County Cork. The tidal currents here run strong, and the sound has long been the crossing point for reaching the island, whether by the cable car overhead or by boat.
