Farnham Estate Golf Club

Farnham Estate Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course set within the Farnham Estate resort near Cavan town, in County Cavan. The layout was designed by Canadian architect Jeff Howes and runs across roughly 500 acres of rolling countryside and woodland, playing to a par of 72 over around 6,900 yards.

The course was built in two stages. The front nine, laid out across open meadowland, opened for play in 2008, and the back nine, carved through dense woodland, followed a year later. A wandering stream and several lakes come into play across the round, and the parkland setting takes in features such as a fairy fort and a wishing well. The 4th, a long left-hand dogleg guarded by water around the green, is regarded as the course’s toughest hole.

The club forms part of the wider Farnham Estate golf and spa resort, with a clubhouse, pro shop and a resident PGA professional on site. Both visitors and members can book tee times, and green fees, group packages and membership details are available directly from the club.
