Green Wood Chairs

Green Wood Chairs offers craft experiences in County Cork centred on greenwood working and traditional chair-making. Greenwood craft uses freshly cut, unseasoned timber and hand tools to shape furniture in a time-honoured way, and workshops of this kind guide participants through the process of building a piece by hand. It is a hands-on, absorbing activity that combines learning a traditional skill with the satisfaction of making something to take home. Suitable for those keen to try their hand at woodworking, it offers a rewarding change of pace and an insight into a craft with deep roots.
