Profile
Heir Island is a small island in Roaringwater Bay, off the West Cork coast of County Cork, reached by a short ferry crossing. Quiet and largely unspoilt, it appeals to those who enjoy the outdoors, with opportunities for bird watching, walking, cycling and sailing amid its low fields, rocky shores and sea views. Part of the scattered archipelago of islands in the bay, it offers a slow-paced escape and a chance to watch coastal wildlife, explore the lanes on two wheels or take to the sheltered waters that surround it.
