Kenny Woollen Mills

Kenny Woollen Mills is a long-established family-run shop on Main Street in the seaside town of Lahinch, County Clare. It began in the early 1970s when Carmel Kenny opened a retail outlet, originally trading as the West Clare Craft Shop, to sell Irish-made goods and outdoor clothing. After the family opened a woollen factory supplying Aran knitwear, the business took on the Kenny Woollen Mills name it carries today. It is now run by the second generation of the family, siblings Rosie and Don Kenny.

The shop specialises in Irish-designed and Irish-made products, with a wide range of Aran knitwear for men, women and children alongside outdoor and rain jackets, throws, socks, homeware and accessories. It also stocks Lahinch surf apparel and Irish-made gifts, and carries pieces from other Irish makers.

Within the premises is the Lahinch Art Gallery, which shows contemporary work by Irish artists. The shop ships worldwide and keeps extended opening hours during the summer season.
