Sheedy's Hotel and Restaurant

Sheedy’s Hotel and Restaurant is a small, family-run hotel in the spa village of Lisdoonvarna, County Clare, on the edge of the Burren. The property occupies an 18th-century house and is run by the Sheedy family, who offer a traditional welcome across the guest rooms, bar and dining room. It makes a comfortable base for exploring this corner of the west of Ireland, lying around 10 km from the Cliffs of Moher and close to the Burren, with Shannon Airport roughly a 45-minute drive away.

The hotel has 11 individually decorated en-suite bedrooms, each with bath and shower, television, tea- and coffee-making facilities and other everyday comforts. There is also a bar for a quieter drink or an informal bite.

Food is central to the experience here. The restaurant serves modern Irish cooking built around locally sourced ingredients, including produce from Burren growers and suppliers, and has been awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. Breakfast has earned particular praise, with the hotel receiving a Georgina Campbell Award for Best Breakfast in Munster. Non-residents are welcome to dine by reservation.
