Airmid Natural Handmade Skincare

Airmid Natural Handmade Skincare is an Irish artisan brand based in Ennistymon, County Clare, in the Burren region of the west of Ireland. The business was founded in 2012 by Kevin Lynch and Tina Robinson, who began making soap in rural Kilfenora after struggling to find gentle, environmentally kind products for their son, who was born with eczema. Their first creation, a pure chamomile soap, remains one of the range’s most popular products. The company takes its name from Airmid, a figure from Irish mythology associated with herbs and healing.

The Airmid range includes handmade soaps, lotion bars, body oils, balms, salves, perfume and gift sets. Products are formulated for sensitive skin and made without parabens, synthetic fragrances or artificial colours, with an emphasis on natural, plant-based ingredients and sustainable, recyclable packaging. The soaps are made in small batches using the cold-process method, cut by hand and cured for several weeks. The brand draws inspiration from the landscape of the Burren and the Atlantic coast, and its work has been recognised through Guaranteed Irish membership and inclusion in Design Ireland.

Please note that Airmid’s retail shop, formerly at Main Street, Ennistymon (V95 N97E), closed permanently in September 2025, and the Kilfenora workshop is not open to the public. Products remain available online, through a click-and-collect service, and via a number of stockists around Ireland.
