Alpaca Walk West Cork

Alpaca Walk West Cork is a family-run farm near Union Hall in County Cork, set between Skibbereen and Clonakilty on the Atlantic coast along the Wild Atlantic Way. Roughly an hour from Cork City, the farm sits in a quiet coastal corner of West Cork and welcomes visitors to spend time with its herd of alpacas throughout the year.

The farm offers a choice of guided experiences to suit different visitors. A longer coastal walk takes you and the alpacas down towards the beach and can be paired with a wool workshop, where you learn how the animals’ fleece is processed into fibre and yarn. Shorter strolls and a farm-based meet and greet are also available, giving families with younger children the chance to lead, feed and photograph the alpacas at a gentler pace. Private walks for couples and small groups can be arranged as well.

Alongside the walks, the farm produces handmade knitwear and yarn from its own herd’s fleece, and runs hands-on craft sessions such as felting.
