Profile
Cliffs of Moher Walking Tours offers small-group guided hikes along the coastal paths of the Cliffs of Moher, setting out from the village of Liscannor on the west coast of County Clare. Rather than following the busiest stretches, the guides lead walkers along quieter sections of the cliff-top trails, which run high above the Atlantic and give sweeping views of the coastline.
Walks typically last two to three hours, with routes and distances adjusted to suit the group, from gentler outings to longer, more demanding hikes. The tours suit families, couples and small private groups rather than large coach parties, and the emphasis is on taking your time to appreciate the surroundings. Along the way the guides share local knowledge on the area’s history, geology, wildlife, and the flora and fauna of the cliffs. Wet-weather gear and binoculars are provided, and a driving excursion can be arranged for those who would prefer not to walk long distances.
The tours run from March to October, with free parking and toilet facilities on site. For visitors arriving by coach into Doolin, Liscannor or Lahinch, pick-up can be arranged. Private hikes and group bookings are available, and group discounts apply for larger parties. It is best to contact the operator directly to confirm current rates, availability and departure arrangements.
