Coppenagh House Farm

Coppenagh House Farm is a working farm and farm shop in County Carlow, set on the outskirts of Tullow just off the N81 road towards Baltinglass. Run by husband-and-wife team Robert and Ciara Stanley, it opened its farm shop in August 2022 with the aim of bringing producer and consumer closer together, selling produce raised on the farm directly to visitors.

The farm is known for its home-reared beef, including Wagyu-cross cattle, alongside pork, bacon and its own honey. The herd is kept small and raised on grass pasture, with the beef processed locally and dry-aged before sale. The shop also stocks a range of local and Irish artisan foods, so there is plenty to browse beyond the farm’s own meat counter.

Visitors can make more of a trip of it at the outdoor covered coffee barn, where you can enjoy a hot drink and locally made baked goods while taking in the surroundings of a genuine working farm. Entry is free, and opening days vary by season, with the shop open seven days a week over the summer and on a reduced weekly schedule for the rest of the year.
