Dromoland Castle Golf Course

Dromoland Castle Golf Course is an 18-hole parkland course set within the 450-acre estate of Dromoland Castle at Newmarket-on-Fergus, County Clare. Laid out across gently rolling ground among mature trees, lakes and wildflower meadows, the course plays as a par 72 measuring around 6,824 yards from the men’s tees, with views of the estate’s woodland and the castle’s turrets from several holes.

The course was designed by Ron Kirby and the Irish amateur great JB Carr, and combines gentle hills, established trees and water hazards to give a test suited to golfers of a range of abilities. It is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading parkland courses and forms part of the wider Dromoland Castle resort.

Practice and coaching facilities on the estate include a golf academy with putting, chipping and bunker areas and an indoor teaching studio, while a golf shop offers club hire and caddie services. The clubhouse and resort facilities sit alongside the course, and the estate lies close to Shannon Airport with direct motorway access.
