Gleeson Goldsmiths

Gleeson Goldsmiths is a family jewellery workshop and shop at the Ballycasey Craft and Design Centre in Shannon, County Clare. The team of trained goldsmiths designs and hand-makes fine jewellery on the premises, drawing on more than thirty years of experience and combining traditional craft with modern goldsmithing techniques.

The workshop specialises in engagement rings, diamond rings and wedding bands, alongside pendants, earrings, bracelets, dress rings and eternity rings. Much of the work is bespoke: customers can be involved in the design process, and the goldsmiths will also re-design or upgrade existing pieces, including reworking family heirlooms or a customer’s own gold and stones. Their metals are hallmarked by the Irish Assay Office at Dublin Castle, and diamonds are ethically sourced.

Among the shop’s own pieces is the Burren Collection, a range inspired by the distinctive landscape of the nearby Burren. Because there is a working studio on site, visitors can often meet the maker behind a piece and ask the master goldsmiths for advice while browsing.
