Kilrush Marina

Kilrush Marina sits at the edge of the town of Kilrush in County Clare, on the southern coast of the county where the Shannon Estuary meets Ireland’s west coast. Reached from the end of the town’s main street, the marina occupies a sheltered, non-tidal lagoon enclosed by lock gates, which means boats can come and go at any state of the tide and lie in calm water once inside.

With around 120 fully serviced pontoon berths, it is a working marina used by both resident boat owners and visiting vessels throughout the year. Berth holders and visitors have access to facilities including toilets, showers, laundry, water, electricity and WiFi, along with a boatyard equipped to lift out and store vessels, so the marina serves cruising sailors, local craft and boats laid up for repair or the winter alike.

The marina also offers waterside accommodation beyond the pontoons, with pitches for camper vans and floating camping pods for short overnight stays. Its position makes it a practical base for exploring West Clare, the Loop Head Peninsula and this stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way, whether you arrive by boat or by road.
