Linnalla Pure Irish Ice Cream

Linnalla Pure Irish Ice Cream is an artisan ice cream farm and café at New Quay, County Clare, in the Burren region on Ireland’s west coast. It sits just off the Flaggy Shore, overlooking Galway Bay, and makes a natural stopping point for anyone travelling the Wild Atlantic Way.

The ice cream is made on the family dairy farm of Brid and Roger Fahy, using fresh milk and cream from their own herd of Shorthorn cattle, the traditional breed of the Burren. The ice cream is produced in a purpose-built unit beside the café and is free from artificial additives, colourings and flavourings, as well as being egg and gluten free. Flavours change with the seasons, drawing on local produce such as rhubarb and custard in spring, strawberry and raspberry in summer, and blackberry, sloe and hazelnut in autumn.

As well as ice cream and sundaes, the café serves tea, coffee and cakes, and it takes part in the Burren Food Trail. The business generally opens seasonally from spring through to autumn, so it is worth checking current opening times before travelling. With its coastal setting and farm-made produce, Linnalla offers a relaxed spot to pause and enjoy a taste of the Burren.
