McDermotts Pub

McDermott’s Pub sits in the village of Doolin, County Clare, on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and within easy reach of the Cliffs of Moher. Run by the McDermott family across four generations, it is one of the pubs that helped give Doolin its lasting reputation as a home of traditional Irish music.

Music is at the heart of the place. Live traditional sessions take place nightly, drawing on the many fine musicians who live in and around Doolin, and the pub has long been associated with the village’s traditional music scene, including the annual Micho Russell festival. It is an informal, convivial spot to hear tunes over a pint.

Bar food is served daily, with the kitchen known for hearty local fare such as seafood chowder, fish and chips, and Irish beef and Guinness stew. Vegetarian options and a children’s menu are also available, making it a practical stop for families as well as walkers and visitors exploring the Burren and the Clare coast.
