The Clare Jam Company

The Clare Jam Company is a family-run artisan food producer based at Luogh North, near the village of Doolin in County Clare. Sitting along the Burren Way and the Wild Atlantic Way, it lies roughly a couple of kilometres from both Doolin itself and the Cliffs of Moher, making it an easy stop for anyone exploring this stretch of the west coast.

The company specialises in preserves and condiments, with a range that runs to more than thirty products, including jams, marmalades, jellies, chutneys, mustards and other condiments. Alongside classic jams such as strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant, the shop stocks less usual combinations, while the marmalade selection extends from a traditional breakfast marmalade to versions made with whiskey and with poitín and spices.

Everything is made on site using the traditional open-pan boiling method and natural ingredients, with each batch handmade, hand-poured, labelled and packaged. The purpose-built kitchens sit right beside the shop, so visitors can see the preserves being produced while they browse. The shop offers free parking and is family- and dog-friendly.
